Child and infant fares can be booked on Vayama. Unaccompanied children under the age of 18, student, senior, companion, military and government fares are not offered through Vayama. If you require one of those fare type options, it will be necessary for you to contact the airline directly for information and booking.

Unaccompanied children under the age of 18 can not be booked on the Vayama website. In many cases, airlines will not allow an unaccompanied child to fly internationally without special documentation and/or payment of additional fees.

If you have a child under the age of 18 who will be flying internationally without an accompanying adult, please contact the airline directly as Vayama will be unable to complete this booking.

If you are traveling with an infant (a child less than 24 months of age for the duration of the trip) in your lap, a ticket must be purchased.

Most airlines allow infants under the age of 24 months, at the time of originating departure, to travel on the lap of an adult passenger. Only one infant is allowed to travel per adult when the infant is not occupying a seat. Generally the fare for an infant not occupying a seat is 10% of the base fare paid by the accompanying adult plus applicable taxes and fees.

Please note:

  • If an infant becomes two years of age during the trip, some airlines require charging the applicable child fare on all flights following the date when the infant became two. When applicable half the fare will be charged at the infant rate and half at the child rate. When this occurs, the child will be assigned a seat for the segments where the child fare applies.

  • In some rare cases, if the infant becomes two years of age during the trip, the full child fare will be charged and a seat will be assigned for the entire trip.

  • No more that 2 infants can be held per row of seats.

  • A passport is required for infants traveling to foreign destinations.

  • Some airlines will provide a bassinet for infants. These may not be available on all flights and must be arranged in advance of departure and directly with the airline.

Airfares change throughout the day based on demand for the flight and availability. Occasionally the fare change is the result of a technical issue.

Vayama makes every effort to have our fare displays be as current as possible. To ensure you get the fare and schedule you select, we encourage you to complete your purchase as soon as possible.

Please Note: Airline fares can NOT be guaranteed until the credit card submitted for payment has been charged and the ticket(s) issued. Vayama is not responsible for any fare increase as a result of delays caused by credit card issues.

    Advance Purchase:
Air tickets can be booked online up to 330 days in advance of departure. Reservations for flight departures beyond 330 days are restricted by the airlines.

    Close-in Purchase:
Booking requests through Vayama cannot be completed less than two(2)days PRIOR to the scheduled departure date.

You can search for your preferred itinerary type (Round Trip, One Way, or Multiple Cities) by selecting your preference at the top of the "find a flight" box. Then enter the cities, preferred dates of travel, and the number and types of travelers. Optional search options are available for cabin/class and carrier preference. Once you are satisfied you've entered all information to match your needs, click on the "search" tab to begin your search. Your search results will be displayed on a new page.

It is not necessary to go back to the Vayama home page if you'd like to refine or change your search options. This can easily be done by making changes to the appropriate areas within the "find a flight" area in the upper left side of the search results page.

Codeshare flights are flights operated by one airline on behalf of another. When a codeshare flight is shown as an option within a given itinerary, you will first see the name and flight number of the airline who controls the booking. Directly below that information you will see the full name of the airline who is actually providing the transportation service.

Airlines often codeshare on routes so they can offer customers service on all flight segments of their itinerary even if they do not actually fly their own aircraft on one or more flights associated with the itinerary.

Special Note: It is important to note that when checking in on a flight designated as a codeshare flight that you go to the terminal and check-in counter of the airline who is actually providing the flight services as referenced in the itinerary display as, *Operated by....

Your pets may be able to travel with you on your flights. However, as rules, fares, and procedures regarding the transportation of animals in the passenger or cargo section of the aircraft vary from airline to airline, Vayama cannot process reservation requests for the transport of pets. Please contact the airline directly for assistance in advance of completion of your booking. This will ensure that understand the rules, policies, and options available to you in before you complete your airline ticket purchase. In most cases, if the airline does accept a pet, there will be a charge for the service.

Yes! You may make a reservation for someone else. Be sure to carefully enter the name of the actual traveler(s) when completing the booking.

Yes! Your travel can originate anywhere in the world. The only requirement is that the credit card used for the purchase of the booking must be American Express, Visa, MasterCard, or, in some rare cases, Discover Card.

The redemption of accumulated Frequent Flyer miles in exchange for upgrades or free tickets must be handled directly through the airline for which the Frequent Flyer program applies. Please contact each airline directly for specific rules.

In many cases, but not all, you may qualify for the accumulation of frequent flyer miles for your flights booked through Vayama. Some special discounted fares may be restricted, by the airline, from earning frequent flyer miles.

Whether frequent flyer miles can be accumulated or not is based on the "booking class associated with the itinerary and fare being selected. To determine what booking class(es) apply to the itinerary you are interested in selecting, click on the "fare details" button directly under the itinerary. Under the "Detailed Fare Information" section, you will see flight details. On the far right of this section is a list of "fare basis codes". The first letter of each fare basis code represents the "booking class" for that flight segment. NOTE: The booking class will NOT be available in association with any "Vayama special fares". Always verify "booking class" requirements and eligibility directly with the airline in advance of booking. Vayama is not responsible for fares purchased that might not receive full frequent flyer mileage credit.

    • If you already have a frequent flyer account established, remember to enter your number by clicking on the "Add Frequent Flyer Number" link to the right of the box where the last name of the traveler is entered. By doing so, your frequent flier information will be automatically entered into your reservation and passed through to the associated airline.
    • If you did not enter your frequent flyer information at the time of booking, please give us a call at 1.778.785.4628 or send an email to cs@vayama.ca and we will enter your number(s) into your record.

The majority of fares shown on vayama.ca following a search will be displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Following the selection of a specific itinerary and price, you will have the option to have the Canadian Dollar fare converted to one of the following currencies: U.S. Dollars; Euros; British Pounds; Indian Rupees; Hong Kong Dollars; Singapore Dollars; Thai Baht.

Due to changes in the airline industry Vayama, with few exceptions, no longer issues paper tickets. Only electronic tickets are issued.

Airline fares fluctuate up and down constantly. Once your airline tickets are purchased and issued, Vayama locks in the fare at that point and will not charge additionally if the fare should go up following purchase. Conversely, if the fare should go down following purchase vayama will NOT provide a refund for the difference between the original fare paid and the lower fare found after ticket issuance.

Airline reservation systems enforce a maximum number of characters for the combined first, middle and last names. If your name exceeds the limit, your first name will be shortened automatically by our system. This will NOT affect your ability to board a flight.

Your full middle name is not required. A middle initial or no middle initial are both acceptable to the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) who monitors this data and sets the guidelines.
